Social media has become one of the primary sources of communication and connectivity with everyone. Social media includes everything from entertainment, news, podcasts and advertising to marketing and networking.

The list is, however, not limited to these activities only. People connect through live streaming platforms such as Discord, Twitch, Instagram Live, LinkedIn Live, Facebook and YouTube Live.

It goes without saying that scrolling through social media and posting parts of our lives have become familiar or “normal”. It’s funny to compare social media as the “new normal” for people.

Through its regular social media posts and blog articles, Google has shifted its company’s culture. These posts also provide a public relations tactic since they openly provide their internal relations to the public. This tactic is effective in creating consumer trust in the Google brand.

According to Instagram’s official website, verification “is a tool to help people find the real accounts of public figures and brands, and it means we verified this is a notable and authentic Instagram account.”

It was never intended to become a status symbol in society, but the fact that the culture views it as such means that it carries much more weight than letting people know a particular account is authentic.

Not long ago, I asked a friend a question. “When you see a blue check on somebody’s profile, even if you have never heard of them before, what’s the first thing that comes to your mind?” Without hesitation, my friend answered that the person “must be famous” or “at least the real deal at whatever they do.” And in this simple response lies the answer to why getting verified on Instagram matters.

I spent a great amount of time building relationships with journalists and today have the contacts of thousands of writers at the world’s biggest publications like Forbes, The New York Times, Success Magazine and more.

Throughout the early months of 2021, I focused heavily on getting myself featured in top publications instead of just focusing on clients. After countless emails, pitch rejections and pitch acceptances, I built a strong line up of news articles for myself to add to my Instagram verification application.

Before submitting, however, I made the decision to do something I don’t see many people talk about when it comes to getting verified on Instagram: I pursued getting verified on other platforms first so that I could show Instagram that I’ve already been recognized as a noteworthy person.

It was around this time that I started my PR agency and in the process of helping others land major news articles, I started doing the same for myself.

While fans were undoubtedly happy to see him bring back his most famous role on the Disney streaming service, there is also a lot of chatter about him appearing in a different Disney Plus series. And that is none other than Star Wars spin-off The Mandalorian.

He recently reprised that role when he co-starred with Anthony Mackie in Disney Plus‘ The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Sebastian Stan is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood today. A stalwart of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he has portrayed Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier in a plethora of MCU installments, starting all the way back in 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger.

This amazing piece from digital artist ApexForm was first posted back in 2019, and it has become a constant reminder of how amazing Sebastian Stan would look in the role of Luke Skywalker.

Naturally, CGI of that extent would be unfeasible for a long-term project, so it got the internet talking, with many fans suggesting that Lucasfilm should make a Luke Skywalker prequel starring Stan in the titular role because of his resemblance to a young Mark Hamill (or have him show up in The Mandalorian season 3).

Lord Frost risks inflaming tensions as he calls on EU to revise Brexit agreement

The UK government is on course for a diplomatic collision with Brussels as Brexit minister Lord Frost warned it would be a “historic misjudgement” for the bloc not to rewrite key parts of the agreement.

Accusing the EU of being “disrespectful” to Britain, Lord Frost demanded leaders effectively tear up the Northern Ireland protocol he negotiated alongside Boris Johnson just two years ago and replace it with a new treaty.

Delivering a speech in Lisbon, he risked inflaming tensions, claiming the bloc was attempting to “encourage UK political forces to reverse the referendum result or least keep us closely aligned with the EU”.

When it comes to Raising Kanan season 2, we are currently anticipating that the series will return to Starz in the summer of 2022; production is already underway and unless we get some last-minute update saying otherwise, we’re expecting that it is going to run for ten episodes once more.

This is really the sweet spot for a lot of different shows airing on Starz; there’s room to get into a lot of important subjects but at the same time, also a chance to keep anything from getting too bloated.

According to the data at the FMDQ Security Exchange where forex is traded officially, exchange rate between the naira and the US dollar opened at ₦ 413.53/$1 on Monday October 11, after it closed at N414.30 per $1 on Friday, 8 October 2021.

The exchange rate for a dollar to naira at Lagos Parallel Market (Black Market) for today, Monday, October 11, opened at N575.00 to a $1.

Please note that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not recognise the parallel market (black market), as it has directed individuals who want to engage in Forex to approach their respective banks.

With the release of the movie and the official Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League trailer, the differences between the two stand more than ever.

That obviously comes with the caveat that the movie is out and the full game is not, but there’s quite a few easily notable differences in terms of physical and personality.

PLEASE NOTE: The following has SPOILERS for the newly-release movie.

The Suicide Squad’s King Shark

In the new James Gunn movie, King Shark is perhaps best described as a loveable oaf with a twinge of sadness, serving more often than not as comical relief. He demonstrates his lack of intellect several times by pretending to read a book upside down, when he tries to eat Ratcatcher-2, and by his general lack of vocabulary, but as Amanda Waller puts it, he’s the strongest member on the team.

His strength is great, and the combination allows King Shark to play off Ratcatcher, Bloodsport, and others quite well. It’s even quite sad when his “friends” betray and attack him in the water tank explosion, as well as when members of the Suicide Squad have to leave him behind because he’s a shark.

Spider-Man Fans Wish Peter Parker A Happy Birthday

Spider-Man fans are wishing Peter Parker a Happy Birthday today as the Web-Slinger from the MCU celebrates another trip around the sun. Commonly, Spider-Man day is celebrated on August 1st.

But, in the comics, a lot of fans say that August 10th is the “real” Spidey day because his first appearance is listed on that date. All of this gained even more steam on social media because of Spider-Man: Far From Home. Tom Holland’s last adventure in the MCU showed off his passport, which listed the big day as August 10th, 2001.

It’s a fun little detail that has exploded into its own day on the web. With all the clamoring for a trailer exploring what the heck is going on in Spider-Man: No Way Home, it’s easy to see why the character’s birthday is exploding this year. Still, it’s a good time, and people can dream of what this wild trailer for the multiversal adventure will look like.

Mansfield, a senior lecturer of mathematics at the University of New South Wales Sydney, had suspected the tablet was real. He came across records of its excavation and began the hunt.

Word got around about what he was looking for, and then the email came. He knew what he had to do: travel to Turkey and examine it at the museum.

Hidden within this tablet is not only the oldest known display of applied geometry but a new ancient understanding of triangles. It could rewrite what we know about the history of mathematics, Mansfield argues.

“These findings were published Wednesday in the journal Foundations of Science.”

The way we understand trigonometry harks back to ancient Greek astronomers,” Mansfield tells Inverse.

“I like to think of the Babylonian understanding of right triangles as an unexpected prequel, which really is an independent story because the Babylonians weren’t using it to measure the stars, they were using it to measure the ground.”

Years before discovering this latest tablet, dubbed Si.427, Mansfield was hot on the trail of another ancient Babylonian “document:” Plimpton 322.

“While the location of this artifact was known (it’s located at Columbia University) its true purpose was not.”

Like Si.427, which dates back to roughly 1900 to 1600 BCE, Plimpton 322 is covered in geometric markings — riddles academics have tried to decipher for years.

While the reigning theory was that these markings were a kind of teacher’s cheat code for Babylonian homework problems, Mansfield and colleagues were not convinced.

Rebecca Dixon, executive director at the National Employment Law Project, told MarketWatch that an employee who has proof of a medical exemption or religious objection to receiving the vaccine may still be eligible to collect unemployment benefits if terminated.

The New York Times reported that other large companies — including Facebook and Google — have said they will require employees to be vaccinated in order to return to the office.

Some companies, including The Washington Post, have made vaccination a condition of further employment; however, few have given details about the consequences of violating vaccine requirements.

“As people continue to return to the office amidst the surging Delta variant, more employers are requiring employees to get the COVID-19 vaccination or risk losing their jobs.”

This could lead to tens of thousands of people across the United States without work or access to unemployment benefits because they refuse to get vaccinated, Ronald Zambrano, employment law chair at West Coast Trial Lawyers, a Los Angeles-based law firm, told MarketWatch.

CNN revealed that it had fired three unvaccinated employees for violating the company’s vaccine requirement for in-person workers, according to an internal memo signed by Jeff Zucker, the cable network’s president, obtained by the New York Times.

According to employment law experts, the three former CNN employees likely won’t receive unemployment benefits, reports MarketWatch.
