Nigerian singer, Temmie Ovwasa, has once again made some allegations against her former record label boss, Olamide, claiming that he ‘messed her mind up’.

During a question and answer session via her Instagram handle, the singer was asked by a fan if she still keeps in touch with the YBNL boss.

They are people of questionable character and I have no space in my life for anything that does not serve me. I have tasted fame, been around multimillionaires and I can tell you for a fact, I don’t rate them.

According to Instagram’s official website, verification “is a tool to help people find the real accounts of public figures and brands, and it means we verified this is a notable and authentic Instagram account.”

It was never intended to become a status symbol in society, but the fact that the culture views it as such means that it carries much more weight than letting people know a particular account is authentic.

Not long ago, I asked a friend a question. “When you see a blue check on somebody’s profile, even if you have never heard of them before, what’s the first thing that comes to your mind?” Without hesitation, my friend answered that the person “must be famous” or “at least the real deal at whatever they do.” And in this simple response lies the answer to why getting verified on Instagram matters.

I spent a great amount of time building relationships with journalists and today have the contacts of thousands of writers at the world’s biggest publications like Forbes, The New York Times, Success Magazine and more.

Throughout the early months of 2021, I focused heavily on getting myself featured in top publications instead of just focusing on clients. After countless emails, pitch rejections and pitch acceptances, I built a strong line up of news articles for myself to add to my Instagram verification application.

While fans were undoubtedly happy to see him bring back his most famous role on the Disney streaming service, there is also a lot of chatter about him appearing in a different Disney Plus series. And that is none other than Star Wars spin-off The Mandalorian.

He recently reprised that role when he co-starred with Anthony Mackie in Disney Plus‘ The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Sebastian Stan is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood today. A stalwart of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he has portrayed Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier in a plethora of MCU installments, starting all the way back in 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger.

The tales of Stan portraying a young Luke Skywalker are legendary at this point, and it has inspired a ton of fan art in the process. On that note, allow us to appreciate one incredible piece today.

This amazing piece from digital artist ApexForm was first posted back in 2019, and it has become a constant reminder of how amazing Sebastian Stan would look in the role of Luke Skywalker.

Naturally, CGI of that extent would be unfeasible for a long-term project, so it got the internet talking, with many fans suggesting that Lucasfilm should make a Luke Skywalker prequel starring Stan in the titular role because of his resemblance to a young Mark Hamill (or have him show up in The Mandalorian season 3).

After Fat Joe called DaBaby the 2Pac of 2021 in an interview with Rap City ‘21, DaBaby has finally gotten wind of the praise and issued a response on Instagram.

On the program, which aired prior to the 2021 BET Hip-Hop Awards, host Big Tigger began to play a word association game with Fat Joe, where he would list off a legendary MC, and Joe would have to give the rapper’s 2021 equivalent.

When 2Pac’s name inevitably came up, Joe paused for a moment before answering. “I should know the 2Pac one.” He continued, “I don’t know, it’s hard to be these guys.

Kanye West has earned his first ever Diamond certification, with ‘Stronger’ surpassing the 10 million sales mark earlier this week.

New Suicide Squad Movie and Kill The Justice League’s King Sharks Are Polar Opposites

Nanaue, more commonly known as King Shark, is an interesting DC character often associated with the Suicide Squad.

However, his background used to be rather murky, so he’s made a ton of appearances in different ways.

Now, with The Suicide Squad movie out and Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League releasing in 2022, it’s easy to see how the two takes on the one character have interpreted his background and made him their own.

With the release of the movie and the official Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League trailer, the differences between the two stand more than ever.

That obviously comes with the caveat that the movie is out and the full game is not, but there’s quite a few easily notable differences in terms of physical and personality.

The Suicide Squad’s King Shark

In the new James Gunn movie, King Shark is perhaps best described as a loveable oaf with a twinge of sadness, serving more often than not as comical relief. He demonstrates his lack of intellect several times by pretending to read a book upside down, when he tries to eat Ratcatcher-2, and by his general lack of vocabulary, but as Amanda Waller puts it, he’s the strongest member on the team.

His strength is great, and the combination allows King Shark to play off Ratcatcher, Bloodsport, and others quite well. It’s even quite sad when his “friends” betray and attack him in the water tank explosion, as well as when members of the Suicide Squad have to leave him behind because he’s a shark.

Spider-Man Fans Wish Peter Parker A Happy Birthday

Spider-Man fans are wishing Peter Parker a Happy Birthday today as the Web-Slinger from the MCU celebrates another trip around the sun. Commonly, Spider-Man day is celebrated on August 1st.

But, in the comics, a lot of fans say that August 10th is the “real” Spidey day because his first appearance is listed on that date. All of this gained even more steam on social media because of Spider-Man: Far From Home. Tom Holland’s last adventure in the MCU showed off his passport, which listed the big day as August 10th, 2001.

It’s a fun little detail that has exploded into its own day on the web. With all the clamoring for a trailer exploring what the heck is going on in Spider-Man: No Way Home, it’s easy to see why the character’s birthday is exploding this year. Still, it’s a good time, and people can dream of what this wild trailer for the multiversal adventure will look like.

Air passengers fleeced by ‘rogue operators’ as PCR tests fail to arrive

Air passengers to the UK have spent at least £500m on PCR Covid-19 tests from private companies since mid+May, a Guardian analysis has found, only for the NHS to be saddled with extra costs when firms fail to deliver them.

Concern is mounting that the system for testing travellers is on the brink of collapse, with Heathrow airport calling on Wednesday for the government to allow people to use cheaper lateral flow tests instead.

Travellers have reported having to call the NHS testing hotline on 119 for free taxpayer-funded kits after PCR tests they had paid for did not arrive.

“The government must also introduce robust accreditation for all test providers listed on its website, to prevent travellers being ripped off when trying to buy something as essential as a test.”

ANCIENT PROTO-MATH FOUND IN BABYLONIAN TABLET

Mansfield, a senior lecturer of mathematics at the University of New South Wales Sydney, had suspected the tablet was real. He came across records of its excavation and began the hunt.

Word got around about what he was looking for, and then the email came. He knew what he had to do: travel to Turkey and examine it at the museum.

Hidden within this tablet is not only the oldest known display of applied geometry but a new ancient understanding of triangles. It could rewrite what we know about the history of mathematics, Mansfield argues.

The way we understand trigonometry harks back to ancient Greek astronomers,” Mansfield tells Inverse.

“I like to think of the Babylonian understanding of right triangles as an unexpected prequel, which really is an independent story because the Babylonians weren’t using it to measure the stars, they were using it to measure the ground.”

Years before discovering this latest tablet, dubbed Si.427, Mansfield was hot on the trail of another ancient Babylonian “document:” Plimpton 322.

“While the location of this artifact was known (it’s located at Columbia University) its true purpose was not.”

Like Si.427, which dates back to roughly 1900 to 1600 BCE, Plimpton 322 is covered in geometric markings — riddles academics have tried to decipher for years.

Google employees who move even farther away from the company’s offices have been warned they could face even harsher pay cuts.

A worker who left San Francisco for Lake Tahoe, another expensive area of California, would have their pay cut by a whopping 25 percent.

That would mean an employee with a $150,000 salary would suddenly make less than $112,000 per year.

Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn have all warned employees who plan to leave expensive cities like New York and San Francisco that their pay will be slashed while smaller tech companies like Reddit and Zillow say they’ll pay the same regardless of where employees live.

The calculator states it uses US Census Bureau metropolitan statistical areas, or CBSAs. Stamford, Conn., for example, is not in New York City’s CBSA, even though many people who live there work in New York.

Jake Rosenfeld, a sociology professor at Washington University in St. Louis who researches pay determination, said Google’s pay structure raises alarms about who will feel the impacts most acutely, including families.

Rebecca Dixon, executive director at the National Employment Law Project, told MarketWatch that an employee who has proof of a medical exemption or religious objection to receiving the vaccine may still be eligible to collect unemployment benefits if terminated.

The New York Times reported that other large companies — including Facebook and Google — have said they will require employees to be vaccinated in order to return to the office.

Some companies, including The Washington Post, have made vaccination a condition of further employment; however, few have given details about the consequences of violating vaccine requirements.

Bet you didn’t see that coming! While it was certain that at least one of the Nominated Housemates was going to be on their way, nothing prepared us for the fact that there would be a grand total of three Housemates saying goodbye to the Big Brother House.

There are top-selling music groups with fewer people than that. After a fortnight in the game, Beatrice, Niyi and Yerins were required to bid the others adieu — although they weren’t really required to do it in French — and get out of there, chop-chop. “Chop-chop” means 15 seconds, here. Biggie really doesn’t waste much time on long, drawn out goodbyes.

The Looney Tunes have gone through a variety of adventures since their debut in 1930, but in 1996 they went through a one-of-a-kind adventure in space in Joe Pytka’s Space Jam.

The movie brought together two different worlds unlikely to cross paths in the real world: the Looney Tunes and professional basketball, this by having Michael Jordan leading the Tune Squad in a life-changing basketball game.

The Looney Tunes spend the first two acts in their traditional looks, but when the time comes for the big game to start, the villain of the story and leader of the opposing team, Al-G Rhythm (Don Cheadle), gives them a makeover to fit with the digital look of everything else.

Bugs Bunny and company are understandably horrified when they see themselves in 3D form, but could this be a sneaky way from the writers of Space Jam 2 to criticize the use of CGI in recent years?

In an unexpected (and unprofessional) movie from Warner Bros., the studio didn’t credit the whole 2D animation team, and this issue was quickly pointed out by some of the animators, most notably Dave Alvarez.

In response to this, and in a failed attempt to make up for the “mistake”, Warner Bros. shared the names of the whole 2D animation crew and their “gratitude” to them via the official Space Jam 2 Twitter and Instagram accounts, which only drew more backlash.
